Posted on 17 Sep 2015
The music of Sibelius and the original music manuscripts exhibited for the first time open a window on the Sibelius era. Sibelius’ international renown is reflected in Andy Warhol’s (1928‒1987) drawing of him, exhibited in Finland for the first time. The exhibition will feature almost 130 artefacts. It coincides with the 150th anniversary of Sibelius’ birth. The exhibition One must live every note will be open from Friday 16 October 2015 to Sunday 13 March 2016 at the National Museum of Finland. The theme of the exhibition is the life of composer Jean Sibelius seen through his music and compositions. The exhibition is divided into eight sections. Read more: website of the Nationalmuseum.
